Let's Rock In Ipoh...

Every Sunday, my mum and I will crack our heads thinking of where to take our dinner. Normally sunday is the day where we hang up our woks, we will eat outside, relax ourselves and have a good meal and come home. At times we feel like taking rice with dishes and at times something light.

Then my mum suggested claypot curry... oh yeah... its been quite some times since we have taken that... Good idea, so the place where they served curry fish head in claypot in town is this Let's Rock (tai kar lok) in Persiaran Greenhill (greenhill drive)

Let's Rock open around 7pm but people started to come around 6.30pm or earlier... so be ready to wait for the food... ok? If too hungry, better take something light at home first to avoid gastric.. lol...

they sell noodles/rice

varieties of fish balls...

the steaming hot claypot fish head

it was still boiling when laid on our table...
beware...
u can take this curry with rice..

Sun Mar Poh, Ipoh Garden East, IPOH

My girl loves to go Sun Marpoh for dinner, this shop is diagonally opposite from Tesco side car park entrance in Ipoh Garden East. Their dishes are very reasonable and cheap, it is only open at night on Saturdays and Sundays but open daily during the days. On Saturdays, it will be best if you go around 5.30pm till 6.30, otherwise later than that, you got to wait for your seating. But it is worth waiting for if you want to eat something cheap and nice....

claypot tau foo (beancurd)

These dishes is around RM30 plus minus.... so if you wanna try in this Sun Marpoh, remember to go early on Saturdays or Sundays around 5.30pm or so.... tell me when you have tried it...

Which Among This Made Me Sick?

Last Wednesday, we went to Jalan Labrooy for lunch and I ended up eating these... rice with roasted pork plus char siew and a plate of fruits. After eating around 3 something, I felt very giddy, I couldn't even look down, I have to look eye level or up... what was happening to me? I didn't really know and I endured it till after 5pm....

Upon reaching home, I still felt very dizzy and I slept early... Next morning, I went to see the doc and he told me I have vertigo... anyone heard of vertigo?? I better google for this now...

maybe the fruits...which one did not adapt to me?

King Of The Fruits

My favourite fruits is none other than the King Of The Fruit, ie the Durian. The season is not here yet so at this time, the durians are still costly, they count by kilos... but when the season is here, they will be sold cheap without weighing. My kids and I love durians but we don't eat in big quantities, as long as we have a few seeds, we are easily satisfied.. hahhaa...

after taking durians, try to take more of these
cooling fruits to "contra" off the heatiness...

Set Lunch In Scotch Pub, IPOH

Last Friday, during the long hour lunch break, I took Lynn and my girl to Scotch Pub in IPOH Garden South... Lynn told me the name of the pub in chinese is Sook Ka Lan meaning Scotland, but in English it is called Scotch ... same or not ah?

Anyway, not important la... What is more important was the menu, we took the set lunch for that day, it was Lamb Chop but unfortunately, it was not so nice.... hard and tough and the smell was there too...

Lynn and my girl were smarter, they ordered chicken chop, have to add RM1 more to the normal set lunch which was RM12.90..... Theirs were definitely better than mine....

i only love the warm bun and the butter...

the vegetable soup was alright too..
at least asian style...
but my girl didn't like it...

the lamb chop...
fat and tough too..
not nice...

this chicken chop was better..
anyway, overall...
won't go again for a long time...yet...

Most Expensive Fish Ball Noodles

Fancy eating the most expensive fish ball noodles in IPOH? Yes, each fish ball here cost 70cents for a small tiny one... the owner said that the ingredients are from pure Saito fish, no added flour or others.

U want quality food, come to this stall at the Perak Stadium food court. Taste it and let me know....

as for me, I normally order this only
RM3.30 for just a bowl like the above...
