Fong's Kitchen In Woolley

Aaron fell in love with Fong's Kitchen dishes.. on and off he wants to go there for his dinner, their salted egg chicken, salted egg french beans (tau mui) are part of his favorite dishes... not forgetting the stingray cooked in assam curry too, that is from another stall.
This time we ordered our dinner in a different way...

2 in 1.. ginger chicken with rice

aaron's salted egg french beans with rice
both plates RM9.50

then we ordered a side dish..
assam stingray fish...
quite a big bowl RM11
So altogether our sumptuous dinner came to RM20.50 :)

Fong's Kitchen

A quick and simple meal at Fong's Kitchen! Where is this located? Fong's Kitchen is now in Woolley food court, Ipoh Garden. When you enter from the main entrance, you have to go straight in till the end right hand corner and you will see two chefs at their humble kitchen, cooking away...

For a meal of six people, I ordered these four dishes from Fong's Kitchen and a plate of fried oyster with egg from another stall, sorry, the picture of that was not snapped cos we were busy eating away by then....

salted fish bean sprouts

signature dish bean curd with enoki

pai kwat wong-pork ribs with honey

salted egg chicken
These four dishes plus rice cost RM42.00

Woolley Woolley

"Girl, what do you want to eat today?" That is always the question I asked each day to my girl and what she normally answers will be fried rice or maggi mee... sigh... she does not like white rice or chicken rice, does not like chicken nor pork but only fish! Hard to serve her, right? Day in and day out, cracking my head what to cook or eat outside.... I have to abide to her appetite...

normally we order a plate of fried rice like this
and divide between both of us..

then a plate of greens... stir fry..

eating here is not bad.. Woolley...
air con and free wifi..

New Stalls in Woolley

From the Gourmet Square, IPOH Garden, you can see a banner showing new stalls at Woolley, displaying some delicious pictures of wan ton mee, curry mee and a few other varieties. That set me thinking, banners are very important, the food displayed looked so yummy and attractive and one like me, could not resist entering Woolley instead of Gourmet Square opposite. I wanna try.. i wanna try... see whether it tasted as good as displayed or not...

to my astonishment, the plate of wanton mee looked so large
when it was served to me.
Not cheap though, cost RM3.80 !
char siew wan ton mee...

I ordered this too, the picture in display looked so yummy ..
but unfortunately the roasted pork was not fresh and crispy
anymore in the evening...

this was also new.. Vietnamese soup
served with beef balls and beef..
cost RM6.90
too expensive, i can say...
and of course, i prefer the local koay teow after all!

Simple Taste At Wooley

Nowadays Girlie and I have lunch and dinner outside. Practically not cooking these few days cos I didn't go to the market... how to go when I have to take her to school each morning now? Unless it is a saturday or sunday, otherwise, have to either eat simple at home (fried eggs) or eat at food court.

This evening we went to Wooley food court in IPOH GARDEN, we walked round and round the food court, looking at their stalls and hoping to find one stall that could attract us... Finally both of us settled for these below......

my dinner...

just prawn meehoon...

and this of course belonged to Girlie...

a Bento set... cost RM8.90 ...
as long as she enjoyed it....
i m relieved...
