Fong's Kitchen, Ipoh

Andy has not been to Fong Kitchen ... he was thinking that it was some kind of a restaurant.. hahaha... little did he know that Fong Kitchen is just in Wooley food court, Ipoh Garden.

This time we ordered differently, except for the vegetables, the rest was Andy's request....

Sun Hup Kee, Ipoh

Sun Hup Kee in Leong Sin Nam Road.. it has been a long while since I last went there for a meal.. this shop is one of the best home-cooked food dishes in Ipoh and my family loves to have their meal there once awhile. But it seems we are always taking the same old dishes.. hahaha...

anyone care to recommend something different other than the ones we took here?

I forgot how much this cost but it was quite cheap..
So.. any other suggestions?

Aberdeen Kopithiam

Each Sunday my girl and I will be cracking our heads thinking of where to go and have our dinner. Normally my mum and a niece will join us on that Sunday evening... but the problem is always thinking of places to go and have our dinner... somewhere not too far and something good for our stomachs. Finally we landed in Aberdeen Kopithiam. Heard from my mum that their soup noodles are nice... but funny though, none of us ordered that on that day.....

i ended up taking spicy and our fish...

and my niece beef fried rice...
Well, nothing to shout about...
I have yet to try out the noodles but
after this one time, I think I will give it a long interval
before I come back to Aberdeen Kopithiam...

Poh San In Ipoh Garden East

Saturday night... where to go for dinner?? My mum wanted to go Jaya Jusco so decided to go somewhere around there... but where?? Then suddenly remember Elin telling me about Poh San coffeeshop in Ipoh Garden East. I never been there but thanks to her instructions, we managed to find it very easily.

A corner coffeeshop along the road leading to Bercham, opposite the big water tank...When we arrived, it was nearly 7.30pm and it was quite crowded... but after waiting around 20 minutes, our food arrived... hhmmmm.....

very nice, dipped with fine salt..

the sauce was special, something different...

my girl wanted the egg fuyong..
nice too with lots of char siew..

sambal tapioca leaves, not spicy at all
but with an aroma wok taste!
if u prefer spicy, request for more chillies..

The bill came to RM52 with rice for 5 of us..
we will be back again for sure!

Mum's Home Cooked Dishes

For the last few days, my mum has been cooking for me, I am very grateful to her. Though I did not ask her to, in fact I told her not to, but she kept cooking for me, for us. My mum is indeed a special woman. Despite her blur vision, it did not hinder her from helping her kids, us... despite she has the liability, she is still thinking for us... worrying about us... she is indeed one special mum.... at least to me.. to us... I love her...

Sun Sun, Here We Come Again And Again!

My sons were back for the weekend, sooo.....in two cars we drove to Sun Sun Restaurant again. Yes, AGAIN!! LOL... 3rd time I have been eating in less than a month, I think!
I took my mum this time, her first time there, Andy too....
It was quite crowded on Sunday and this time we sat at the five foot way, no choice cos inside the shop all fully occupied. We ordered six dishes for six of us.... Amazing? LOL...

Home Cooked Dishes At In-Laws

In my Caring Blog, I posted my Mid Autumn Dinner at my own mum's place... but this dinner here was held at my in-law's house, a week before the actual day. My sister-in-law is a good cook, she does all these by herself, in fact on every occasion, she will cook as much as she can, including cheese cakes and desserts... I really salute to her!

The next special occasion will be in December, of course, none other than Christmas... she suggested doing some real western food this year... Well, I am sure she will do them just fine.. and all I do is to wait anxiously for the day to come ...lol... (hey, I do the washing up, u know...)
