Central Coffeeshop In Cowan Street, IPOH

This afternoon after school, I took my girl to Central Coffeeshop, just opposite Fu San dim sum restaurant. This Central coffeeshop has been around for almost..... 30 years, ever since I was a kid and it is still there... wow... it can become a heritage landmark anytime...

My girl hasn't been to this shop before and we were browsing around thinking of what to order for our lunch. Then I saw this sign, chee cheong fun, Canning Garden....

For those who stay in Ipoh and u r in your 40s now, then u will know that this Canning Garden Chee Cheong Fun was once-upon-a-time very famous one...that time, this man was selling by the road side in canning garden , next to the football field.... Very popular among "dating couples" who would queued up to eat this for supper before they go home after their date :)

i love the coconut eaten with this pumpkin kueh...

    Is it run by the same uncle? I wonder if the stall in canning garden is still there! Is it as good? Can eat during lunch? Anything else there nice to eat?

    yes, by the same man who operated it in canning gdn decades ago... yes, lunch time, it is available, Ann... many nice places to eat in IPOH, depends on what u love to eat only.. :)
